Larval substrate: Deciduous trees and herbaceous plants, incl. Alnus (Alder), Salix (Willow), Rubus spp. (Blackberry, Raspberry)
Phenology: Adult: 7/09 to 10/15 (27 records)
Comment: Very difficult to distinguish from D. truncata from the upperside; the underside shows the most reliable distinguishing characters. However, it is possible that only D. citrata occurs in Massachusetts. This page shows the differences between the two species. It is in German, but should be self-explanatory.
