Larval substrate: Rhamnus (Buckthorn), Berberis (Barberry), Crataegus (Hawthorn), Quercus (Oak), Prunus (Plum)
Phenology: Adult: 5/21 to 10/21 (5 records)

Comment: Like its Old World cogeners, this species overwinters as an adult, preferably in constantly cool, dark places, such as caves and cellars, although we have no evidence of this yet in Massachusetts. The few Massachusetts specimens may have migrated from populations further north.
