Comment: m and f paratypes from Massachusetts. Apparently a rare species. Similar to Oidaematophorus mathewianus, but H. linus has a more distinct spot at the cleft. The fore and middle legs lack scale tufts. Forewings are "white, more or less heavily irrorate with brownish black scales which are more numerous towards the inner margin and apices of lobes" (from the original description).
