Larval feeding type: Petiole miner
Larval substrate: Populus grandidentata (Bigtooth Aspen), P. tremuloides* (Quaking Aspen)

Comment: This and the previous species cannot be distinguished based on the larva or mine and they can occur together. The adults can be distinguished, as argyropeza is dark with a whitish fringe and an incomplete white fascia, whereas the undescribed species is uniformly silvery-gray with no white markings.
