Larval feeding type: Initially a leaf-miner, then feeds within a leaf-roll in the shape of a cone.
Larval substrate: Prunus pensylvanica* (Pin Cherry)
Phenology: Adult: 10/04 to 5/25 and 6/21 to 8/27 (17 records)

Comment: Two generations, likely overwinters as adult. This species can easily be mistaken for C. betulivora and "Caloptilia sp. BOLD:AAB7939". In most cases, genitalia dissection is necessary to distinguish them and some reports under C.invariabilis will most likely refer to one of the other species.
