Larval feeding type: Upperside leaf-miner
Larval substrate: Castanea dentata, Quercus alba* (White Oak), Q. ilicifolia* (Scrub Oak), Q. rubra (Northern Red Oak), Q. velutina* (Black Oak), Q. montana* (Mountain Chestnut Oak)
Phenology: Adult: 5/24 to 7/02 and 7/17 to 8/16 (15 records)

Comment: The black dot at the tornus of forewing is characteristic of this species

Status in MA (automated assessment): Widespread, fairly common
