Larval substrate: Unknown
Phenology: Adult: 6/08 to 10/15 (35 records)

Comment: Superficially similar to Homostinea curviliniella, which has a curved row of small dark dots across the wing (sometimes weakly marked), whereas T. apicimaculella has a prominent dark spot over the back (near the inner margin), a dark smudgy line extending from the base to the apex of the wing and a row of black dots around the apex.
