Larval feeding type: Root and lower trunk borer
Larval substrate: Ilex spp. (Hollies) and possibly other trees
Phenology: Adult: 6/25 to 7/19 (5 records)

Comment: Males have been attracted to the General Clearwing Borer lure/pheromone sold by Great Lakes IPM, but also P. marginatum and Paranthrene robiniae lures

Status in MA (automated assessment): Fairly widespread, uncommon
Status in N. America: Native
