Larval feeding type: leaf-miner, larva yellow, long linear mine, 2-3mm at end, central frass line with margins about the same width or slightly less than the frass line (description of a few mines found in MA on Q. alba, but they may vary)
Larval substrate: Quercus alba* (White Oak), Quercus macrocarpa (Burr Oak), Quercus spp. (Red Oak Group), Castanea dentata (American Chestnut)

Comment: Reported by Charley Eiseman from Massachusetts (no locality given), feeding on Q. alba (Leafminers of North America 2nd Ed, 2021)
