Larval substrate: Scoparia dulcis (Sweet Broom)
Phenology: Adult: 7/05 to 9/22 (5 records)

Comment: Cannot usually be distinguished from S. taprobanes from a photo, although females have a dark lateral anal tuft which can sometimes be seen in a photo. So far only S. brevipennis has been found in Massachusetts, so all Stenoptilodes are placed here (with '?' if not certain) until S. taprobanes is also found.
