Larval feeding type: Skeletonizes the underside of a leaf at night, hiding in bark crevices during the day.
Larval substrate: Quercus alba (White Oak), Quercus macrocarpa (Burr Oak)
Phenology: Adult: 6/28 to 7/16 (3 records)

Comment: Farquhar, 1934 gives "Mass." with no further details (probaly incorrect), TM example is probably S. engeli
