Larval feeding type: On dead and decaying leaves on the ground. Pupa overwinters in a brown silken cocoon spun between leaves.
Larval substrate: Quercus (Oak), Populus (Poplar), Salix (Willow) and presumably other trees
Phenology: Adult: 5/14 to 8/24 (68 records)

Status in MA (automated assessment): Fairly widespread, very common
