Larval substrate: Carduus and Cirsium thistles, Cynara scolymus (Artichoke)
Phenology: Adult: 5/20 to 10/05 (18 records)

Comment: Similar to Amblyptilia pica, but generally plainer and the prominent triangular forewing blotch usually darker than the subterminal band
