Larval feeding type: Underside leaf-mine, pupates in the mine
Larval substrate: Fagus grandifolia (American Beech), ?Castanea dentata (Sweet Chestnut)

Comment: Probable synonym of P. maestingella (766.1), but supposedly smaller (5.5-6mm, not 7-9mm)

Status in MA (automated assessment): Restricted distribution, rare
