Larval feeding type: Bores into potato tubers and mines leaves of tobacco
Larval substrate: Solanum tuberosum (Potato), Solanum lycopersicum (Tomato), Solanum melongena (Eggplant), Capsicum annuum (Bell Pepper), Nicotiana (Tobacco)

Comment: Native to South America, but it now occurs worldwide where its host plants are grown commercially
