Larval substrate: Helianthus annuus (Sunflower); Tilia americana (Basswood) [most likely one of these is incorrect]
Phenology: Adult: 6/01 to 8/15 (21 records)

Comment: Taken out of synonymy with P. lepidana by Metzler & Brown (2014, J. Lep. Soc. 68(4), 274-282) and apparently all eastern 'lepidana' are in fact P. straminoides.
