Larval feeding type: Aquatic, feeds from silken web on rocks in riffles of rivers and streams
Larval substrate: Algae and plankton: Navicula, Cymbella
Phenology: Adult: 6/15 to 9/05 (61 records)

Comment: P. canadensis has a fairly prominent white spot just distal of the jagged median white line with no small dark spot against it, as in fulicalis
