Larval feeding type: Forms a small (6-8mm) tentiform leaf-mine on the underside, then feeds in a leaf edge folded downwards; pupates in a silken cocoon away from the feeding area
Larval substrate: Betula populifolia* (Gray Birch), B. papyrifera* (Paper Birch)
Phenology: Adult: 8/02 (1 record)
Comment: There are two DNA barcodes for conspicuella. I believe the BOLD link given is to the one we have in Massachusetts
