Larval feeding type: Bores into trunks and branches, two-year life-cycle
Larval substrate: Quercus spp. (Oak), Q. palustris (Pin Oak)
Phenology: Adult: 6/30 to 7/27 (11 records)

Comment: Appears to occur in even years only; flies later in the year than simulans and only comes to pheromone in the late afternoon and early evening
