Larval feeding type: Feeds externally on leaves
Larval substrate: Various deciduous trees, incl. Acer rubrum* (Red Maple), Cephalanthus occidentalis* (Common Buttonbush), Malus* (Apple), Populus tremuloides* (Quaking Aspen), Ulmus* (Elm)
Phenology: Adult: 6/20 to 8/10 and 8/18 to 11/05 (220 records)

Comment: includes O. plagiata as a subspecies formerly considered a separate species
