Larval feeding type: Leaf tier
Larval substrate: Betula papyrifera* (Paper Birch)
Phenology: Adult: 6/23 to 8/14 (13 records)

Comment: The ferruginous "zelleriana" species; recogized as different from zelleriana by Kearfott, who used the manuscript name "betulana"; Heinrich (1926) illustrated the genitia of both species; the nomenclature of the two species needs to be clarified
