Larval feeding type: The green larva feeds from a flattish silken shelter on the underside of a leaf, which is replaced several times. Early instars skeletonize the leaf at both ends of the shelter, creating a typical feeding pattern.
Larval substrate: Deciduous trees, incl. Acer (Maple), Betula (Birch), Corylus americana* (American Hazel), Fraxinus (Ash), Populus (Poplar), Quercus rubra* (Red Oak), Ulmus (Elm)
Phenology: Adult: 8/11 to 11/05 (372 records)
