Larval substrate: Alnus (Alder)
Phenology: Adult: 5/11 to 7/26 (7 records)

Comment: Easily mistaken for H. transfigurata and genitalia dissection is ideally required. Even the type material of H. transfigurata is a mixture of the two species. Where the foodplants of the two species occur together, the two Hydriomena species can fly at the same time.
