Larval substrate: Unknown, probably fungi in rotting wood
Phenology: Adult: 7/14 (1 record)
Comment: Superficially similar to Tinea apicimaculella and easily mistaken for it; that species has a prominent dark spot over the back (near the inner margin), a smudgy dark line extending from the base of the wing to the apex and a line of black dots round the end of the wing, whereas curviliniella has a curved row of smaller dots, often weakly indicated, no prominent dark spot visible from above and no black dots at the end of the wing.
