Larval substrate: Ferns, Pteridium aquilinum (Bracken)
Phenology: Adult: 4/28 to 10/11 (223 records)
Comment: H. lactispargaria and H. disconventa have been synonymized with H. fritillaria, based on the absence of any differences in genitalia, DNA (COI) and larvae or hostplants. It appears to have one protracted generation from April to the end of August, with a couple of individuals found in October
