Larval feeding type: Catkin feeder
Larval substrate: Pinus rigida* (Pitch Pine), P. resinosa (Red Pine), P. strobus (Eastern White Pine)
Phenology: Adult: 5/25 to 7/15 (3 records)

Comment: Type locality: Barnstable, MA; probably a synonym of H. immaculella, although it was described as being orange yellow and most immaculella in MA seem to be more ochreous brown

Status in MA (automated assessment): Restricted distribution, rare
