Larval feeding type: Feeds externally
Larval substrate: Diervilla lonicera (Bush Honeysuckle)
Phenology: Adult: 7/23 to 7/24 (2 records)

Comment: Split from Hemaris diffinis in 2018 (see Schmidt (2018)). Current knowledge suggests it has a more northern distribution and only just reaches Massachusetts.
