Larval substrate: Polyphagous on herbaceous plants, incl. Alnus (Alder), Aralia hispidus (Bristly Sarsaparilla), Chelone glabra (White Turtlehead), Clematis virginiana (Virginia Virgin's-bower), Dasiphora floribunda (Shrubby-cinquefoil), Rubus (Blackberry), Salix (Willow), Spiraea (Meadowsweet)

Comment: North American populations are genetically distinct from Eurasian populations
