Larval substrate: None recorded, but probably similar to E. xylina: Alnus (Alder), Amelanchier (Serviceberry), Betula papyrifera (Paper Birch), Cornus sericea (Red-osier Dogwood), Corylus (Hazel), Malus (Apple), Populus tremuloides (Quaking Aspen), Rhododendron, Ribes (Currant), Rosa (Rose), Salix (Willow), Symphoricarpos (Snowberry)
Phenology: Adult: 7/08 to 8/18 (4 records)
Comment: One specimen from 1914 reported by Farquhar (1934) as Eulithis xylina, but it was most likely this species. The species was refound in 2020 in Berkshire Co. at three separate sites. Eastern and western specimens of xylina/serrataria both fall within the same DNA barcode: BOLD:AAA2493. E. xylina males supposedly have longer antennal pectinations, while E. serrataria has almost no pectinations.
