Phenology: Adult: 6/28 to 10/15 (91 records)
Comment: Forewing measurements have been given as 12-15mm, but these may refer to males only. The females of both species are larger than the males and female diversilineata may overlap in size with male gracilineata. Larvae are mostly greenish, often tinged with red. They lack the darkly pigmented lateral swellings on the second thoracic segment found in E. gracilineata. Wagner (2005) states that it is a petiole mimic.
