Larval feeding type: larvae feed from silken tunnels around the roots of the foodplant
Larval substrate: Poa pratensis (Kentucky Blue Grass), Salix (Willow), Larix spp. (Larch), Picea (Spruce)

Comment: id with '?' in K&J; unlikely for Martha's Vineyard (it is a boreo-alpine species); also, North American specimens are apparently not conspecific with Eurasian E. argentana
