Larval substrate: Spartina alterniflora (Smooth Cordgrass) has been reported for this or a similar species
Phenology: Adult: 7/16 to 8/28 (5 records)

Comment: Males are generally a dirty brown and can look similar to D. linealis. Females can also look similar to female D. linealis, but also to D. melinellus and D. nitidellus. They generally have some form of pale costal stripe.
