Larval substrate: Primarily Pinus strobus (Eastern White Pine)
Phenology: Adult: 7/10 to 9/05 (29 records)

Comment: Basal and subbasal areas 'bright brownish-red' and in general brighter and more contrasting than D. resinosella. Subbasal scale tuft more reddish than black.
