Larval substrate: Primarily Pices (Spruce), also other coniferous trees
Phenology: Adult: 5/26 to 9/02 (8 records)

Comment: D. abietivorella and D. reniculelloides are the only two species of the genus present in MA which lack any scale tufts on the wing. They are quite similar, but abietivorella has a small, but distinct black blotch on the inside of the antemedian line at the costa.
