Braun, 1915

Sort #: 180 | P3 #: 300212 | MPG #: 476
| View on iNaturalist | BOLD Link

Larval substrate: Unknown
Phenology: Adult: 7/09 (1 record)

Comment: Except for the scale-tufts at the base of the antennae, this species looks superficially like a Caloptilia sp. It does however usually sit even more upright than the average Caloptilia. The genus Corythophora is preoccupied by a fly genus of the same name, therefore a new name will have to be errected for it.

Status in MA (automated assessment): Restricted distribution, rare
Status in N. America: Native
MA Endangered Species Act status: None
First Year Reported: 2015
Last Year Reported: 2015

Distribution by County: Middlesex
