Larval substrate: Quercus alba* (White Oak), Q. bicolor (Swamp White Oak), Q. montana (Mountain Chestnut Oak), Q. rubra (Northern Red Oak), Q. stellata (Post Oak)

Comment: Easily distinguished from the other oak-feeding species by its broader hindwings
