Larval feeding type: Upperside leaf-miner, always at the edge of a leaf
Larval substrate: Castanea dentata* (American Chestnut), Quercus coccinea (Scarlet Oak), Q. ilicifolia* (Scrub Oak), Q. imbricaria (Shingle Oak), Q. marilandica (Black Jack Oak), Q. palustris (Pin Oak), Q. rubra* (Northern Red Oak), Q. velutina (Black Oak)
Phenology: Adult: 5/26 to 6/18 and 7/16 to 8/19 (13 records)
