Larval feeding type: Seed feeder, in a tubular silk trivalve case
Larval substrate: Portulaca spp., including P. oleracea (Common Purslane)
Phenology: Adult: 8/06 (2 record)

Comment: WS 10-11.5mm; a pre-1995 record of C. texanella from MA exists, but no details are known; found in Greece in 2003 and is now spreading throughout southern Europe

Status in MA (automated assessment): Restricted distribution, rare
