Larval feeding type: Leaf feeder, in a composite leaf case
Larval substrate: Castanea dentata* (American Chestnut)

Comment: Until very recently considered extinct, but larval cases were found at the beginning of June 2020 in Northfield by Charley Eiseman. They were then found everywhere where looked for, on Castanea.

Status in MA (automated assessment): Restricted distribution, uncommon
