Larval feeding type: Upperside leaf-mine, pupates in the mine.
Larval substrate: Morella caroliniensis* (Small Bayberry)
Phenology: Adult: 5/31 and 8/18 (2 records)

Comment: Very similar to C. bethunella, but can be easily distinguished by the black spots on the upperside of the hind-tarsi (although worn specimens could conceivably lose these marks). It currently shares the same DNA BIN with Cameraria cf bethunella BOLD:AAD5003.
