Larval substrate: Ferns and herbaceous plants, incl. Adiantum (Maidenhair Fern), Asparagus densiflorus (Asparagus Fern), Blechnum (Hard Fern), Cyrtomium (Holly Fern), Gossypium (Cotton), Nephrolepis exaltata (Boston Fern), Nicotiana tabacum (Tobacco), Onoclea sensibilis (Sensitive Fern), Phaseolus (Bean), Polypodium (Polypody), Smilax rotundifolia (Green Briar), Woodwardia virginica (Virginia Chain Fern
Phenology: Adult: 8/04 to 10/12 (7 records)

Comment: Probably not native in MA, although increasingly found at light in the Fall; possibly imported as larvae on ferns from further south (one was found in a greenhouse), or possibly a southern migrant
