Larval feeding type: Forms a tentiform leaf-mine on the underside, then feeds in a leaf edge folded downwards, usually making two leaf-folds, one smaller (about 10mm) and then one about twice the size of the first; pupates in a silken cocoon away from the feeding area
Larval substrate: Malus pumila* (Apple)
Comment: One generation only; larvae can be found end of June and beginning of July
Status in MA (automated assessment): Fairly widespread, uncommon
