Comment: The differences between A. freyella and A. canadensis adults are unclear. Freeman claimed that the median white basal streak of canadensis reaches 1/4 and in freyella it reaches 1/2, the costal basal streaks reach 1/4 and 1/3 respectively. However, there appears to be a lot of variation. Male genitalia are figure by Freeman and the two species have different host plants.
