Larval feeding type: Feeds externally on leaves
Larval substrate: A huge variety of herbaceous and woody plants and trees, grasses*
Phenology: Adult: 7/29 to 7/31 (2 records)

Comment: In the UK called the Garden Tiger and the caterpillar is the UK's "Woolly Bear", behaving much like the Isabella Tiger Woolly Bear here, but is larger, has longer dark brown hairs and white spiracles
