Larval feeding type: In a pocket formed on the underside of a leaf by pulling one side vein towards the midrib
Larval substrate: Physocarpus opulifolius* (Atlantic Ninebark)
Phenology: Adult: 6/08 to 6/29 (3 records)

Comment: A. spireaefoliana complex, species insufficiently defined; The type of A. spireaefoliana was reared from Physocarpus and the name 'spireaefoliana', not 'spiraeifoliana', was used. Physocarpus was formerly in the genus Spiraea
