Larval feeding type: Feeds externally
Larval substrate: herbaceous plants and shrubs, incl. Ipomoea batatas (Sweet Potato), Ipomoea alba* (Moonflower Vine), Datura stramonium (Jimson Weed)
Phenology: Adult: 4/24 to 10/31 (34 records)

Comment: stray, mostly found in the Fall, but one April record

Status in MA (automated assessment): Fairly widespread, uncommon
Status in N. America: Native
