Larval feeding type: Feeds between folded leaves, but also uses leaf shelters constructed by Caloptilia negundella
Larval substrate: Acer negundo* (Box Elder)
Phenology: Adult: 3/29 (1 record)

Comment: Adult overwinters; often confused with A. subnivana, but that species has a strongly concave costa. A. negundana has a straight or only very slightly concave costa.

Status in N. America: Native
