Larval substrate: Alnus (Alder), Kalmia polifolia (Bog Laurel), Prunus virginiana (Choke Cherry), Pinus (Pine), Larix laricina (American Larch)
Phenology: Adult: 9/09 to 10/10 (14 records)

Comment: The status of X. arcadia in MA is not clear. Most reported X. arcadia are probably X. capax, but X. arcadia might just get into the northern part of the State. However, the two taxa may be forms of the same species, as treated by Forbes (1954), and may form hybrids in MA. They appear to fall in the same BOLD BIN, although only very few 'capax' have been tested.
