Comment: One adult reared from Prunus maritima probably belongs to a separate species in the S. slingerlandella group (different barcode); egg laid on the underside on a vein, but away from the leaf edge and midrib, but entire mine is upperside. Young mine linear, winding, then expanding into a compact blotch, incorporating most or all of the early mine. Larva exits on the upperside. Larva whitish-yellow.
