Larval feeding type: Forms a tentiform leaf-mine on the underside, then feeds in a folded leaf edge, folded downwards; pupates in a silken cocoon away from the feeding area
Larval substrate: Comptonia peregrina* (Sweet Fern)
Phenology: Adult: 6/09 to 6/11 (3 records)

Comment: Very similar to P. obliterella; see comment under that species.
